WHY THE MILKY WAY HAS AN INFERIORITY COMPLEX

The Milky Way has an inferiority complex because it is the only galaxy with human beings.  No other galaxies, in the entire Universe, have human beings on planets in their solar systems.  The other galaxies tease the Milky Way:
"Na! Na! Na! Na! Na!  You have human beings!  You have human beings!" 

The Milky Way has good reason to be ashamed for having human beings:

- Human beings are all the same, but each one sees the others as different.

- Human beings have wars and kill each other for silly reasons.

- Human beings are hypocrites.  Human beings make laws they think apply only to other human beings.  Each human being feels entitled to see himself, or herself, as above the laws they think others must obey. 

The Milky Way wants to wipe out human beings to restore its reputation.  But the Milky Way knows that if it waits long enough, then human beings will destroy themselves--for some silly reason.  

WHAT IF IT WASN'T A GROUNDHOG?

What if it was not a groundhog's shadow that predicted things?  What if . . .

"Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper saw his shadow this morning.  This means that we will have six more centuries of censorship and government secrecy."

"U.S. President Barack Obama saw his shadow this morning.  This means that we will have six more weeks of the Republicans finding fault with how the president looked at his shadow."

"Paul McCartney saw his shadow this morning.  He saw it while he was on the long and winding road. The fact that he saw his shadow means that Lucy was not in the sky with diamonds -- whatever that means."

"Elvis Presley emerged from the ground and saw his shadow this morning.  This means that he did not die, but is alive and well and living with groundhogs."

"Jian Ghomeshi emerged from his hiding place and saw his shadow this morning.  We have no idea what this means because Ghomeshi's shadow turned out to be Bill Cosby."

"A black hole emerged from the center of the Milky Way and saw its shadow.  This means The End of everything.  (Perhaps not everything, but certainly this blog.)

 

CONVERSATION WITH MY BLOG . . .

Blog:  Hey Gary!  It's been awhile.  Where have you been?

Me:    All over the place both in mind and body.  I packed up all my "stuff " and put it in storage.  I am still living out of a suitcase.

Blog:  Where are you now?

Me:   The other side of The Milky Way.  It's nice this time of the year.  I love how the voids change colors.

Blog:  So, you are in a period of transition?

Me:   Yes, I was in one place for twenty years.  Twenty years!  The war between the Quarks and the Leptons forced me to move.  They have stopped fighting, but my place is not matter now.  I cannot move back.   I am looking for another place -- preferably in Reality.  I will live "elsewhere" if I cannot find it.

Blog:  Well, how kind of you to stop by.  You have a good heart.

Me:      Thanks.  My heart is in the right place, but my mind is in a box  . . .  somewhere.
